About The Sluggett Family
The Sluggett ( with several variations in spelling, such as Slogett) family
seems to have originated in Cornwall, and various branches have migrated to
Devon and then on to Canada, Australia, The USA and South Africa.

There are Sluggetts all over the world, and it seemed like a good idea to set
up this site to gather together all the information people have all over the
world.

I'm the grand-daughter of Lucy Sluggett (1886-1934) of Halwill, Devon.
Please use the guestbook to tell us all about your link with the family, or
send me your gedcom to merge with what is here already. Photos would be lovely
to share too, and can be put in your own album.

The aim is to try to assemble a complete worldwide Sluggett Family Tree. I
have sent invitations to anyone I've had contact with in the past, or whose
names may have been left on a message board somewhere, like a message in a
bottle.

Can you add a branch to the Sluggett Family Tree?
November 18th:I have updated the tree with a gedcom sent to me by Michael Oates, so
it is already growing. Please contribute if you can!
February 23rd: I have now added the Canadian descendants of John Sluggett b 1829,
courtesy of Dave Clark of Vancouver.
Come on you Aussies!

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
